My rule of thumb: workplaces with metal detection requirements (factories, data centers, certain airports) — composite is basically the only option. Regular construction sites with workers complaining about foot fatigue? Composite can help. But purely on protection performance — a steel toe at the same ASTM rating is just as reliable. What's the biggest mistake you've made when buying work boots in bulk?
This is a little embarrassing — sizing.
Not "wrong size" in the usual sense. More like "assuming everyone wears the same size."
